Dr. Michael Amsberry, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Amsberry was born the 7th of 8 boys, raised in the midst of the farms in the Willamette Valley of western Oregon. He attended Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio earning a BA in Biology/Chemistry in 1986 and Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine for his DVM in 1990.

Dr. Amsberry has developed special interests in the human/pet bond, Preventative care, Internal medicine, Dermatology, Geriatrics, Dentistry, Orthopedics, Laser surgery, Laser therapy and most recently, Stem cell therapy, where he hopes to limit the use of drugs in his patients. Dr. Amsberry is the owner of St. Francis Pet Care Center in Tarpon Springs Florida. He recently founded The Pet Stem Cell Institute to further research stem cell therapy as a safe and effective treatment for his patients. He is particularly interested in treating conditions that have been difficult to manage and those that require chronic drug use.

For down time, Dr. Amsberry enjoys his church community, spending time outdoors, boating and fishing, mountain biking, warm garlic bread and a glass of good red wine. Currently, their family pet members include two Yorkies, Truffles and Fudge, a Goldendoodle puppy, Maple (pictured on our home page), and two local rescued cats, Suri and Belle.
